Implementing the Coral Reef Breakthrough: Solutions #ForCoral

The event will serve to showcase solutions to implement the Coral Reef Breakthrough as the global convening mechanism for coral reefs, their effective conservation, protection, and restoration. The event will form an informative structure with presentations of solutions and enable discussions with developers and implementers. The presentations will elevate the Coral Reef Breakthrough, its targets, and actions for implementation - showcasing solutions for the future of coral reefs leading to finance mobilisation, and technical support for reef communities.

The event will function through general and opening remarks via a central stage followed by focused short pitches from solution providers from 4 pitch tables located throughout the room. This unique arrangement aims to facilitate seamless networking opportunities with solution providers, allowing attendees to engage in meaningful discussions, exchange valuable knowledge, share lessons learned, and foster regional and international partnerships. The goal is to collectively explore innovative solutions and implement the Coral Reef Breakthrough.

This format has been previously implemented by ICRI during a side event at the CBD COP15 and by the GFCR at COP28.
