cetaceansmediterraneanmaritime traffic

Information

The event’s main objective is to present and discuss potential solutions to decrease the impact of maritime traffic on the marine environment: Monitoring vessels in critical areas, like the recently adopted PSSA in the North-western Mediterranean and liaise with shipping companies and port authorities to better understand and address collisions with cetaceans.

The event will guide participants through the entire process, from field data collection to policy decisions and conservation actions, with a focus on reducing the ecological footprint of shipping, including the issue of ship strikes and noise.
