WHAT IS THE MONACO OCEAN WEEK?

The Monaco Ocean Week is a unique gathering of events dedicated to marine ecosystems awareness and conservation.

Every year local and international experts, members of the scientific community and the voluntary sector, as well as public authorities, unite in the Principality of Monaco to share their key marine environment conservation findings and take action to preserve the oceans.

The Monaco Ocean Week is jointly organized by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco, the Scientific Center of Monaco, the Yacht Club of Monaco and the Monaco Government.


WHEN AND WHERE IS THE MONACO OCEAN WEEK 2024?

The next edition of the Monaco Ocean Week takes place from March 18th to 22nd, 2024, in key locations of the Principality of Monaco. View each venue in detail


WHAT IS AN EVENT/SESSION?

The Monaco Ocean Week is composed of events and sessions proposed by the 5 co-organizing entities (Organizers) as well as external partners (Partners). Sessions consist of a variety of events such as masterclasses, round tables, conferences, board meetings, screenings, and workshops. They can be private - by invitations only and set to the discretion of the Events & Sessions Partners - or open to the public.


HOW CAN I ATTEND A PUBLIC EVENT?

WHAT ARE THE REGISTRATION FEES?

Registration to the Monaco ocean Week is free.


WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE EVENT?

The dress code for the events and sessions is business casual.


WHAT ARE THE PARKING ARRANGEMENTS AND DIRECTIONS?

WHAT IS THE EXPECTED WEATHER IN MONACO?

Benefitting from exceptional sunshine in March, the Principality of Monaco enjoys a mild Riviera weather and agreeable temperatures.

The average temperature is 12°C, and visitors should prepare for some cooler days throughout the month. The average low in March is 10°C, and the average high temperature reaches 14°C.

Despite more rain days than other months, there is on average 7 days of rain in March, with an average precipitation of 71 mm expected throughout the month. A slightly higher humidity, around 74%, is normal for the month of March.


VISA AND ENTRY FORMALITIES?

Foreign nationals wishing to stay in the Principality for less than three months require a passport, and in some cases a visa – which are necessary to enter French territory.

Nationals of the European Economic Area and associated States do not require a visa to enter Monegasque territory. They only need to carry a passport or a valid identity card.

Nationals of countries outside the European Economic Area wishing to visit the Principality of Monaco must be in possession of a valid passport and a visa for the Schengen area. For stays of less than 90 days, some nationalities are exempt from the requirement to have a visa to enter the Schengen area.
